Cool Weather Hampers Wolves in 6000k

Cheyney hosted Neumann, Cumberland and Harcum in a 6000 k event on the Cheyney campus. Jon Soussa led the way for Cheyney finishing the course in 23:18 to take seventh place.

Men"s Cross Country Hosts Cabrini

Cheyney University hosted its’ first of three home cross country meets this weekend. The Cabrini Cavaliers came to campus to run the 6,000 k course. The men fell to Cabrini 17-41. Jon Soussa led the Wolves with a time of 23:06. He was two minutes off the lead.

Men Place Ninth at Belmont Classic

Senior Jon Soussa, competing in his first meet of the season, finished a Cheyney best 40th at the Belmont Classic. The five mile race was held on the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia’s Fairmont Park. Soussa ran the five mile course in 36:55.61.

Irene Forces Cancellation of James Washington Invitational

The remnants of Hurricane Irene have forced Cheyney University to postpone the season opening James Washington Cross Country Meet.

Jon Soussa paced Cheyney to a 14th place finish at the Belmont Classic.

Jon Soussa, junior, ran the 8,000 meters in 38:47.56. It was the second week in a row that the Wolves ran the famed Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia’s Fairmont Park.
