January 10……Despite 20 points from Lutfiyya Muhammad and 18 from Angel Stephens the Lady Wolves (3-8) fell 78-66 to IUP (7-5). 

The contest see-sawed back and forth the first half with neither team owning more than a five point lead.  A Hilary Swope three-pointer with 25 seconds remaining in the half gave the Crimson Hawks a 37-34 advantage at intermission.  Swope ended the contest with a team high 21 points as five IUP players notched double figures. 

Nursing a one point lead three minutes into the second half the Crimson Hawks scored six unanswered points to stretch the lead to seven and the Lady Wolves never got any closer. 

The Lady Wolves were able to force 23 turnovers and took 15 more shots than their opponents but could not find the range shooting only 33% on the night. 

Cheyney is back in action on Wednesday night in the PSAC opener against Bloomsburg.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
