January 31………Cheyney University defeated Coppin State at the Kutztown Bowling Invitational, one of the largest collegiate bowling events in the country and just missed out defeating Long Island University by two pins to win their first match of the year.  Cheyney defeated Coppin 4-0 in the consolation bracket in the best of seven baker matches.  Game scores were 124-100, 151-131, 145-130 and 152-141.  Cheyney then went onto fall to LIU 4-3 with game two being decided by two pins.
