Stephens Goes Over 1,000 Points For Her Career

February 20……Angel Stephens tallied 18 points to help lead Cheyney (9-15:6-6) to a 73-61 victory over East Stroudsburg (4-21:2-10) and keep the Lady Wolves play-off hopes alive.  Stephens also grabbed a game high 14 rebounds for her eleventh double double of the season.  Lutfiyya Muhammad scored 19 and Angel Henderson tallied 10 points.

Cheyney trailed 10-2 early on but 24-6 run quickly reversed the Lady Wolves fate.  Cheyney extended the lead to 14 points before the Warriors battled back cutting the lead to five with 4:13 remaining.  Cheyney then put the game out of reach going on a 10-3 run over the next two and half minutes to solidify the victory.

Cheyney will host Kutztown on Wednesday night and Shippensburg next Saturday to round out the regular season.
