Williams, the newest member of the Cheyney University athletic staff,  joined the Cheyney family in October as the coach of the men's cross country and track and field teams. 

Most recently, Coach Williams served as the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field coach at Cabrini College.  He has guided the Cavalier men since the 2007-08 season and was given the additional responsibilities of the women in 2009.  While at Cabrini, Williams produced 20 All-Americans, 60 All-ECAC and 10 ECAC Champions.  Impressive for a track coach coaching at a university that doesn’t have a track.  Williams also had a stint at West Chester University and Gwynedd Mercy College.  At West Chester he produced five PSAC Champions and 15 of his student-athletes went on to earn All-PSAC honors. 

A 1998 graduate of Cabrini College, Williams set 13 school records in the sprints, jumps and throwing events.  “Having coached at West Chester University, only a couple of miles away, I am very familiar of what Cheyney University has to offer and sleeping giant that it can become.  Cheyney has a history of good sprinters which we will build upon and become a force to reckon with in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and in the nations,” commented Williams.
